FOUNDATION & HISTORY

Braxton’s Academy is committed to providing high-quality education for children. We believe in offering programs that nurture the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development of young learners. We accomplish this through the dedication of our staff, who uphold our high standards and, most importantly, have a genuine love for children.

Established in 2009, Braxton’s Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families. We are also an approved provider with several respected organizations and programs, including Episcopal Children’s Services, Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK), Early Learning Coalition of Duval, Duval County Public Schools Teen Parenting Program, the Florida Child Care Food Program, and child care resource agencies supporting military families.

Braxton’s Academy provides a safe, nurturing school culture and learning community led by caring professionals who work in alignment with our vision: Preparing an Amazing Generation for Kingdom Purpose. Our mission is to equip every student with an excellent educational foundation by teaching the pillars of learning—reading, math, writing, and social-emotional skills.

Florida VPK data has shown that 85% of students who attended the academy exceeded the state performance standards required for entering public school. Students are taught essential school-readiness skills and continue deeper learning through standards-based instruction aligned with the State of Florida.
