FOUNDATION & HISTORY
Braxton’s Academy strives to provide quality childcare for children. We believe in providing programs that truly enhance the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual growth of young children. We can do this through the efforts of our staff who are dedicated to upholding our ambitious standards and who, most importantly, love children.

Established in 2003, Braxton’s Academy is a 504 (3) C for non-for-profit organization and is licensed by Florida Department of Children and Families. It is also an approved provider by Episcopal Children’s Services, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK), Agency of Workforce of Early Learning (AWI), Early Learning Coalition of Duval-School Readiness Program, Duval County Public Schools Teen Parenting Program, Florida Child Care Food Program, and National Association of Child Care Resource Referral Agencies for deployed military families.

Braxton’s Academy consist of a safe, nurturing school culture and learning community with professional employees who work in alignment with the vision and mission of Braxton’s Academy: “Preparing an Amazing Generation for Kingdom Purpose”. Their mission is to equip each student with an excellent educational foundation by teaching the pillars of learning reading, math, writing, social and emotional skills. Florida VPK data revealed that eighty five percent of students who attended the academy exceeded the state performance standards required for entering public school. Students are taught the essential skills for pre-school readiness and then continue deeper learning by following the Common Core Standards for the State of Florida.
